Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo

ManeNTail

Mane ’n Tail Shampoo is known for making hair moisturized and smooth. Did you know that Mane ’n Tail was originally used for horses to keep their mane and tail soft and smooth?

Mane’ n Tail Shampoo’s score is a three out of ten from the Environmental Working Group.  A big amount of why it received a three is because it contains lilial.

Lilial is a chemical compound which is used in cosmetic preparations, for example skin care lotions. Lilial can cause allergic reactions and a skin rash. It can sometimes act as an allergen. An allergen is a type of antigen that can produce a very bad immune response, that the immune system fights off a threat that would be really harmful to the body.

In a 2013 study by the American University of Beirut they showed that lilial can result in the death of skin cells. For this reason, its use in cosmetics is restricted and the amount left on skin after cleansing or shampooing must be extremely tiny.

You are not going to believe it but I searched lilial up on skin deep and the score was a seven of ten, which is very bad.

Mane’ n Tail is a wonderful shampoo and I believe that Mane’ n Tail is a good product because it is not at a very high score and it works very well. It may have some ingredients that are bad for you but it is up to you to decide for yourself.

If you are not satisfied, here are some alternatives.  One other shampoo that I recommend is Coastal Classic Creations “Bioluminescence Argan Shampoo”. I recommend this shampoo because it is not at a very high score and it works very well. I searched this product up on Skin Deep and the score was a 0 which is very good.
